Maddy was so happy the wands and "sharky" were a success. We were laughing as we were reading about the horrible smell!! It is "unexplainable" worse than garlic breath. Radiation is not so bad, Maddy actually did well with it, the people down there are awesome and are wonderful with the children. With God and the BEST HOSPITAL AND DOCTORS IN THE WORLD he has nothing but postive energy on his side. God Bless, Love and Hugs, The Lewis Family

Jack,
I am 3 years old and was recently diagnosed with a mysterious type of cancer. I wanted to wish you the best of luck in your second stem cell transplant.

BTW, I agree, the mouth care is the pits, but it really helps in the healing process so
just hang in there.

Who knows...maybe someday we will run into each other and can compare stories.

Health, Hugs and Happiness!!!!

Hooray, you are home!! Didn't it feel great to walk out of that room and breath the fresh air. Maddy got all dressed up, duck beak and all. Enjoy your wonderful time at home. And as you said, the worst is over, number 2 is easier only because you know what to expect. We brought all new toys the second time, and seemed better prepared. And Diane, I think the second time you will want to leave the room more. Maddy was so comfortable with the nurses, it made it easier for me to leave with Michael for a few hours, just to go for a walk. We are all so happy y ou are home. If you can please call. We would love to meet for dinner.
As always, you are in our prayers, God Bless and I am so happy you were able to enjoy a wonderful Easter at home.

Ed and Dianne -

I have to be honest. I knew that Jack was sick, but didn't realize to the extent that he had been hospitalized and was going through these horrible treatments.

As an FYI, my brother was diagnosed wioth Leukemia 10 years ago. He had a bone marrow transplant and went through his time of incubation, treatments and medications. After 5 years he was given a clean bill of health, had a set of twins (boy and girl), who now 2 healthy 5 years old, and he is living a happy and healthy life.

You two obviously are very special people who are making the illness known to others unfamiliar with it. But more important, you are 2 loving parents who are doing EVERYTHING to support your child in need.

Please call on me to provide anything from the racing world if you need it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

God bless you both and especially Jack.

Bob

Ed, I truely wish your son was old to be able to talk to him about what he is going thru and that if he could just look ahead by a year how much better it will be. Like I said the best part for you and your wife ti know is that he will remember very little of the bad parts and I guarentee he will remember the good parts (beleive me when I look back there were some good parts) you discover just how much people do care. I am srue you have received this also. Enough rambling so day I want to sit and talk to your son.
